Some of our viewers don't just read comics, they MAKE them. Sometimes they send them in to us. We picked some of our favorites for this episode of The Stack.
Unbeatable: an original graphic novel featuring some stunning artwork and a strong story.
Redball 6: a detective comic set in an urban version of hell.
DOSE: a collection of short comic pieces, done up Mad Magazine-style and written by people like Evan Dorkin and Alex Segura.
In the speed round, we get back to the mainstream with The Brave and The Bold #9, X-Men #206, Thor #5, Crossing Midnight #14, and Drafted #4.

We're liking Gary Frank's artwork in Action Comics #863, but Alex takes issue with the level of excitement in this issue.
The we've got another sneak review of Amazing Spider-Girl #19, a title we haven't yet reviewed on the show. It's pretty well done, but deals with a very small sphere of the Marvel universe.
And in the speed round we check out Reich #2, Cable #2, Young Avengers Present Wiccan & Speed, Anna Mercury #1 and Walking Dead #48.
In the mailbag, Ian asks us if there can be good villain books where the hero remains a bad guy throughout the book and there's no redemption. Find out what we think in this episode.

We're checking out all-ages titles in this episode. Starting with Power Pack Day One #1, which is a retelling of the Power Pack's origin, Marvel's premiere team of super kids. We really enjoyed this book and not just because there's ponies in it!
Then we take a look at The Goblin Chronicles #1. We're split on this one. It's being billed as Shrek meets the Lord of the Rings. The art is great, but there are some issues here.
We picked up Wolverine First Class #1, another all-ages title this week. Pete didn't like the berzerker rage that Wolverine goes into. And Alex, the Kitty Pryde fan of the group, has a lot to be happy about here. We really enjoyed this title and hope you pick it up, too.
Then, we discuss: Are all-ages comics necessary? Comics are supposed to be for everyone, so why are there all-ages comics? As a kid, wouldn't you rather read a title that's more adult? We'll talk about all these issues in this edition of The Stack!
